For Ukrainians, who have not followed life in Russia for many years, it may seem that the main sexual object there is power. And this is certainly partly true, but only partly.
While the state promotes, and sometimes explicitly promotes family values, the ruling elite surrounds itself with mistresses and escorts, organizes orgies, does not disdain sexual violence and lives on several families.
Putin and “a man who looks like the Prosecutor General”

One of the first high-profile sex scandals in the history of Russia was a grandiose porn scandal involving Prosecutor General Yuri Skuratov.
In 1999, the state TV channel RTR and some foreign TV channels showed the documentary film “Three in Bed”, where “a person who looks like the Prosecutor General” (a wording repeated in those days by many publications and later became a catchphrase) has sex with two women. Skuratov himself claimed that the recording was fake.
However, Vladimir Putin, then head of the FSB, was investigating the case, and the recording was found to be authentic. It is believed that Putin was responsible for ensuring that Skuratov was fired from the Prosecutor General’s Office.
Interestingly, Alexander Lebedev was named as the main organizer of this sex scandal, who himself later became a participant in a completely similar sex scandal.
Threesome in “Ukraine”

Oligarch Alexander Lebedev, who repeatedly met with the notorious ex-IMF head Dominique Strauss-Kahn, including during his visit to Kyiv, is suspected of providing Strauss-Kahn with escort girls, and also at the request of the ex-IMF head sent girls to Europe. At the same time, there were rumors that the businessman in return asked Strauss-Kahn to block the decision to provide Ukraine with another foreign exchange tranche. There were also rumors that Lebedev could arrange filming of Strauss-Kahn’s orgies with escorts in the hotel “Ukraine”, which then belonged to Lebedev.
Apparently, the Russian oligarch somehow fell into a trap set by himself, because after a while a video appeared on the Web in which Lebedev was filmed making love with, apparently, the same girls in the same hotel “Ukraine”.
“Fishgate”

One of the most high-profile sex scandals involving two representatives of the Russian elite at once – a high-ranking official and an oligarch – erupted in 2018. The scandal was called Rybkagate. Married oligarch Oleg Deripaska and then-deceased then-married Russian government member Sergei Prikhodko (resigned in 2020) were accused of spending time together on the oligarch’s yacht in the company of escorts.

In particular, a certain Nastya Rybka (real name – Anastasia Vashukevich), who positioned herself as a sex coach, wrote the book “The Diary of Seducing a Billionaire” about this joint journey with rather frank details of sex with both characters. About Oleg Deripaska, the girl wrote this:
“Sex with a billionaire lasts 15 minutes, as it turned out. And it doesn’t really differ from sex with any other person. Although the impression of Ruslan was good. He tried, and it’s clear that he wanted me to be pleased.”
Rybka’s colleague assessed the official’s abilities more modestly: “Very quickly, 5 minutes and let him go.”
The oligarch did not like such revelations of the escort, and soon after the scandal, Nastya Rybka was arrested in Thailand on charges of conducting illegal sex training, then, after being deported to Russia, she also served time in a Russian pre-trial detention center.
Sexual readings of a Courchevel inmate

One of the most striking sex scandals was the arrest of oligarch Mikhail Prokhorov in Courchevel in 2007. French police detained him and several other Russians as part of an investigation into a luxury prostitution ring. About 50 police officers were involved in the operation, who conducted searches in three luxury hotels: “Byblos”, “La Lana” and “Les Aires”. 26 people were detained, as well as several young women.
Neither Prokhorov nor his friends were charged, and they were soon released.
Subsequently, Prokhorov had to buy several media outlets and hire a whole PR agency to whitewash his reputation. However, the image of an eccentric bachelor, dragging around a harem of 10-20 young women of model appearance, remained with the oligarch forever.
The girl Nastya from the escort of the Putin oligarch recalls their dates like this:
“We came to the room, he closed the door behind us and offered to lie down. At the same time, he did not undress, and he did not hint at anything like that. Alena was not afraid, and I thought that nothing bad should happen to me. When we lay down on his huge bed, Mikhail took out Turgenev’s Thunderstorm (two copies) from under the pillow and asked us to read it aloud by roles.
We read. Michael listened. And I, following Katerina’s torments, kept thinking, what was the oligarch up to, since he decided to divert our attention like that?
Then Mikhail simply fell asleep, without making any of us an obscene proposal. During the day we went skiing, in the evening the situation repeated itself. Only for “role” reading were already invited five girls.
So every evening we read him something from the Russian classics. And absolutely no intimacy.”
Apparently, the oligarch’s love for Russian literature is truly limitless and replaces many other joys for him.
Deputy abuse

One of the most unpleasant sex scandals of recent times in Russia is the story of harassment of journalists by LDPR deputy Leonid Slutsky.
“When he came on the air, he tried to kiss me on the lips and touch my buttocks,” says one of them. Many women argued that such behavior of a politician is systemic and has been going on for a long time.
The MP called the accusations “a contract” and “a base provocation.” The statements of journalists about the harassment of Slutsky were called “a provocation”, including women deputies, members of the women’s club of the State Duma.
And all-all-all
The opposition does not lag behind the ruling elite. Since in Russia, as we now understand, a sex scandal is one of the ways to “settle issues” and settle scores, it is quite expected that all categories of Russian society fall into it. At one time, the Russian press constantly mentioned the scandal with the published video, in which the oppositionists Eduard Limonov, Ilya Yashin and Viktor Shenderovich have sex with a certain Katya. However, with regard to the latter, “this is not accurate.”
As you can see, sexual scandals in Russia are constantly emerging and are a favorite means of political struggle. Well, they entertain the population a lot, which, in the opinion of the Russian leadership, is exclusively passionate about reading, ballet, classical music and patriotic education.
