It seems that this is how one phrase can describe the key metamorphoses of the third generation Nissan Qashqai. The car was created on the CMF-C platform and is distinguished by slightly increased dimensions: the increase in overall length, wheelbase, body width is calculated by a couple of centimeters. But thanks to layout tricks, the interior has become more spacious, access to the back row is better, and the trunk has increased immediately by 74 liters – now 504 liters.

These are just general numbers, but there are many other interesting nuances. For example, the rear doors are made to open at almost a 90-degree angle. The car has acquired “boomerang” headlights, which are interesting not only in design, but also in matrix optics: 12 independent lighting elements. The designers fought to lighten the car, used aluminum and composite parts – as a result, they managed to win about 60 kg, which they then spent on additional metal (after all, the dimensions are larger), systems and soundproofing: the car is heavier relative to its predecessor, but only 6 kg.

The third generation Nissan Qashqai crossover has become larger in size, radically changed the design, received matrix LED headlights (and this is just the beginning of a long list of advanced systems in the new product), cars are offered with a contrasting 2-color body color.

The increase in external dimensions made it possible to make the interior more spacious: it became wider and more realistic (diagram below), and visually – a new shape of the front panel works to create a sense of width. By the way, the front panel itself has become the basis for installing new displays – the car receives a multimedia system with an 8- or 9-inch display, depending on the configuration. There are also two options for the dashboard: with traditional dial gauges and a large monitor between them, or a fully digital “tidy” based on a 12.3-inch display. And in general, the car has gained a lot of advanced equipment, even in the basic version: intelligent (adaptive) “cruise”, control of rows and “blind spots” of rear-view mirrors, driver fatigue monitoring, a warning system about a possible collision and an emergency braking function, control cross-traffic from behind … Even in the basic version – 16 security systems: the new generation of Nissan Qashqai eliminates the backlog from competitors in one fell swoop and confidently pulls ahead!

The new interior sets the perception of spaciousness, manufacturability, modernity – and the car does not fail: its equipment is fully consistent with the “spirit of the times”. Moreover, even the basic versions offer a wide range of equipment – there are 16 security systems! They also made comfort fans happy: for example, front seats with back massage appeared.

The main difference of this CVT-“machine” is that a new oil pump is used, which allows you to move the cones on which the belt rotates faster – i.e. gear ratio change is more linear. Well, to close the topic of technology: front or all-wheel drive is proposed for the novelty. Moreover, in the latter case, the car receives a 5-mode system for selecting driving settings: in addition to the standard Eco / Standard / Sport positions, the Snow and Off-Road options are also added – 20-25% or 40-45% of the torque is sent to the rear axle, respectively.

So far, the new Nissan Qashqai will be offered in Ukraine only with a 1.3 DIG – T engine in two power levels. But just “for now”: during 2022, we are expected to launch versions of MILD HYBRID (mild hybrid) and a unique modification E – POWER . In a word, the course is clearly chosen for electrification. By the way, the E – POWER version should become the main one for the new generation Nissan X – Trail car – we are waiting for it in Ukraine during this year as well. But even now we can say for sure that the new Nissan Qashqai 2022 came out modern, bright, advanced – an indisputable fact.
