The presentation of Motorola Edge 30 took place in the European market, which became the base model in relation to Edge 30 Pro. The newcomer largely repeats the older model, differing from it in only a few aspects. The most important among them was the abandonment of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in favor of the Snapdragon 778G +, which had a positive effect on the price tag. In addition, the dimensions have slightly decreased, and with them the screen diagonal (6.5 “against 6.7” in the firmware). At the same time, the parameters of the display itself were not affected: it is still an AMOLED panel with a frequency of 144 Hz.
In favor of an ultra-thin case (6.79 mm), the battery capacity has been reduced by 980 mAh (here it is 4020 mAh), and the charging power has been halved to 33 watts. The resolution of the front camera has also been halved, which in the Edge 30 is represented by a 32-megapixel sensor capable of shooting 4K videos. But the main cameras remained intact: 50-megapixel main, 50-megapixel wide and 2-megapixel macro module. Stereo speakers, IP52 waterproofing and a glass cover have not gone away.
But the highlight of the Motorola Edge 30 is the price, almost half that of the Edge 30 Pro: the device comes in one 8GB/128GB memory configuration for €449. There are three body colors: silver-pink, light blue and dark blue. The date of the start of sales has not yet been specified.
