In China, the presentation of Realme Q5 and Q5 Pro, aimed at the mid-budget segment, took place. In fact, both models turned out to be a rebranding of previously presented devices with minor edits. So, Realme Q5 Pro is a long-familiar Realme GT Neo 2 with overclocked charging (from 65 to 80 W), new body colors and a reduced price. “Under the hood” it still has a Snapdragon 870 with a 5000 mAh battery, stereo speakers and a linear vibration motor. The set of cameras has not changed (64 + 8 + 2 MP), as well as the display: 6.62 “AMOLED E4 with a frequency of 120 Hz. The dimensions of the case are the same, but the weight has decreased by 5 g, even despite the increase in charging power.

The base Realme Q5, in turn, became a rebranded Realme 9 Pro , previously presented in India. There are more changes here, but not all of them can be called positive. Firstly, the charging power has almost doubled: from 33 to 60 watts. Secondly, instead of the 64-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel analog was installed, and the 8-megapixel wide was replaced by a second 2-megapixel cap for portraits. And thirdly, we added a slot for microSD memory cards. Otherwise, everything is the same: Snapdragon 695, 6.6 “IPS screen and 3.5 mm audio jack.

By the way, both smartphones switched to Android 12 with the Realme UI 3.0 shell, but for some reason lost their NFC modules. On the shelves of Chinese stores, newcomers will arrive on April 27 in three memory configurations (6/128, 8/128 and 8/256 GB) and three colors: orange, white and black. The older Realme Q5 Pro will cost 1899, 2099 and 2299 yuan, while the younger Realme Q5 will cost 1399, 1599 and 1799 yuan.
