Samsung has announced in its homeland the third generation of the Galaxy Quantum line, the main feature of which is the presence of a built-in quantum random number generator (QRNG). The presence of QRNG makes the use of any encryption algorithms a little safer, since the encryption keys become truly random, and not pseudo-random, that is, predictable, as is the case with any other smartphones. However, hacking random number generators is a very rare attack vector, which, if any, is used to hack slot machines, so there is very little practical use for QRNG.

However, Samsung has been releasing smartphones with built-in QRNGs for the third year. And if last year the Galaxy Quantum 2 was an unusual mid-high segment smartphone with a Snapdragon 855+, a Quad HD + screen and a 64-megapixel main camera with OIS, this time the Koreans were offered a local version of the budget Galaxy M53. This smartphone is equipped with a 6.7″ 120Hz Full HD+ screen, a quartet of 108MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP cameras (all four without OIS) and a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset. The Samsung Galaxy Quantum 3 is priced at 618,200 won (41,500 rubles), it is sold in a single modification of 6 + 128 GB from the Korean operator SKT.Sales will start on April 22.
