In October last year, we got acquainted with the first iPhone with a USB-C connector . A student from Switzerland named Ken Pillonel (Ken Pillonel), who performed this most difficult modification, decided not to stop there and wanted to pull off a similar trick, but with an Android smartphone, equipping it with a traditional Apple Lightning connector. The hit mid-range Samsung Galaxy A51 was taken as a prototype. As expected, the experimental device is capable of not only charging, but also transmitting data through an uncharacteristic port.
The author himself explains this project with the desire to “balance the chaos created by the iPhone with USB-C.” Soon he promises to release a detailed video demonstrating the process. Recall that the modified iPhone X paid off well, going under the hammer for $86,001 .
