Razer Pro Click, Pro Type and Pro Glide: white magic from Humanscale

Razer Pro Click, Pro Type and Pro Glide: white magic from Humanscale

Today we will talk about an unusual kit from Razer. All three devices were created in collaboration with Humanscale design agency, which specializes in comfortable office work items. All this is typical for the three Razer devices. I really liked the novelties both in terms of convenience and design. The last one is really good. Formally, each device is sold separately, but thanks to the general harmony, we will talk about them today in one article.

Razer Pro Click Wireless Gaming Mouse

And let’s start with the mouse. The Pro Click is an unusual mouse for Razer, both in looks and ergonomics. I can’t say that all previous mice were uncomfortable, no, but the Pro Click stands apart.

When you first meet the mouse, you don’t even believe that its manufacturer Razer is so convenient. The hand just rests on it. Each line is verified, nothing more. You got it and you don’t want to let it go.

And that’s not to mention the design. Yes, it’s a simple matter to create a mouse in white, but the combination of white matte plastic, gray rubber sides and chrome inserts makes the mouse stylish and neat. Moreover, this is the case when you want to pick up all the other peripherals for just one mouse, and then a table, a computer, a monitor. And, who knows, maybe even a renovation in the room.

Despite the white surface, the Razer Pro Click is practical and after two weeks of regular use it did not leave marks.

The Razer Pro Click is a wireless mouse that has a battery inside and can be connected via Bluetooth or radio. To implement the latter, a microreceiver is provided, which is hidden in a special compartment.

Despite the built-in battery, the mouse weighs only 106 grams and feels very light. The design is balanced, there are no overweights. The mouse is very pleasant to use throughout the day.

Pro Click uses the latest generation Razer 5G sensor with a maximum resolution of 16000 dpi. There are no complaints about the sensor, it works correctly, without disruptions.

The battery life is up to 400 hours with a Bluetooth connection and up to 200 hours with a radio connection. It is also possible to work in wired mode. By the way, Razer Pro Click supports the ability to quickly switch between 4 devices, for this there is a separate key on the bottom.

The only thing I don’t like is that the microUSB port is used for charging. At the same time, you cannot use any cable from those that you have accumulated at home. The connector is located deep inside the case and special teeth are used to fix the plug, which prevents a cable with a more or less wide connector from being inserted into the connector. Why the Razer Pro Click does not use USB Type-C is a mystery to me, since the keyboard that will be discussed below is USB-C.

As for the form, convenience and keys, I have not the slightest complaint. The shape turned out to be almost perfect, the mouse is very comfortable in the hand, like a glove. The set of keys is standard for Razer and not bad compared to other competitors. In addition to a couple of main ones, there is a wheel with support for tilting to the sides, a key for switching the sensor resolution and a pair of side navigation keys in the browser. The functionality of additional keys can be remapped in Razer Synapse 3. The keys are pressed clearly with a noticeable click.

Razer Pro Type Mechanical Keyboard

Razer Pro Click, Pro Type and Pro Glide: white magic from Humanscale

The Pro Type is a rare example of a wireless mechanical keyboard, and we don’t often see such devices in our testing. As with the mouse, there are three connection options: wired, Bluetooth and radio. At the same time, there is already USB Type-C for a wired connection. Nearby there is a connection mode switch and an LED indicator.

Razer Pro Click, Pro Type and Pro Glide: white magic from Humanscale

If the Pro Glide mouse is a good example of an ergonomic shape, then the Pro Type keyboard is not. No, it is comfortable to use, but it is made in a completely standard form of most mechanical keyboards.

But she looks just gorgeous. White matte and high-quality plastic, from which the bottom is made, and the plastic of the caps are diluted with a gray metal panel on top. All this is complemented by a beautiful white backlight with a slightly bluish effect. If desired, its brightness can be changed or the illumination can be turned off altogether.

Razer Pro Click, Pro Type and Pro Glide: white magic from Humanscale

The Pro Type uses Razer Orange switches. These are switches with tactile feedback and no audible feedback. The force required to press them is 45 grams. In principle, these are very similar switches to Cherry MX Brown. The keys cannot be called silent in operation, the main sound in operation is the impact of the cap on the plastic case of the switch.

Razer Pro Click, Pro Type and Pro Glide: white magic from Humanscale

In principle, we are not talking about any keyboard ergonomics, but the Razer Pro Click turned out to be quite comfortable for long typing and for games.

Razer Pro Glide Gaming Pad

And, finally, let’s talk about the playing surface, made in the general design canvas. Pro Glide is sold in a standard “M” size of 360 x 275 and is 3mm thick. The upper part of the rug is fabric, and the base is rubber. An additional touch is the cute Razer tag.

Razer Pro Click, Pro Type and Pro Glide: white magic from Humanscale

In general, I liked the rug – it is moderately thin, the mouse glides over it very nicely. By its properties, it is closer to high-speed mats. The only thing that raises questions is the lack of sheathing of the edges of the carpet. After a few weeks of use, it has already begun to show scuffs. In addition, the light shade of the fabric itself does not guarantee its preservation in the future.

Pros: comfortable mouse shape, general appearance of the ruler, nice pad texture.

Cons: microUSB in the mouse, pad durability is questionable

Conclusion: Razer’s 3 “Pro” is an interesting collaboration with Humanscale. At least in design it is. Humanscale is definitely well versed in the ergonomics of peripherals and the Pro Click mouse turned out to be very comfortable and beautiful. The same can be said about the rug, adjusted for the fact that there are complaints about its practicality. The Razer Pro Type Keyboard is a great example of a wireless mechanical keyboard. I would also like to see a TKL modification, yet not everyone needs a digital block. But, there are definitely no complaints about the keyboard. It is versatile, comfortable, moderately compact and perfectly assembled. Yes, it won’t be cheap, but it’s worth paying for convenient switches and a well-designed design.
