Samsung Galaxy S21 FE owners report freezing and stuttering screen

February 24, 2022, 11:58

The owners of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, which recently became the hero of our review-comparison with the Galaxy S20 FE, are reporting strange screen behavior. There are more and more reports on the company’s support forum about freezes and freezes of animations associated with a drop in the image rendering frequency below 60 Hz. And this despite the fact that a typical LTPS panel is installed in the device, capable of operating either at 120 Hz or 60 Hz without intermediate values. In this regard, we can assume that the problem is of a software nature and will be fixed in one of the next software updates. Curiously, at the moment there are no confirmed cases of this bug on Snapdragon versions of the Galaxy S21 FE – in all cases we are talking about Exynos modification.
