Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ Announcement: Brightly Redesigned Galaxy Flagships

Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 + are officially presented. This season, the base Galaxy S has received the same design as the Galaxy S21 counterparts, but new colors are offered, including green. From a technical point of view, the main focus is on the “revolutionary capabilities of the camera for night and day shooting.” This is digital VDIS stabilization (works in tandem with OIS), and Auto Framing technology (catches focus on 10 people and tracks each one to adjust focus), and the Adaptive Pixel option (uses an image in and without binning to get the best frame). By the way, the main camera is now 50 MP, and this is one of the main innovations of the younger models of the Galaxy S series.

They also have a 4nm Exynos 2200 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset (“performance for any pace of life,” says Samsung), an adaptive 120Hz AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1750 nits on the Galaxy S22 +, Gorilla Glass Victus + (temporary exclusive to the Galaxy S22 series) and Android 12 with One UI 4.1 with four years of Android updates. The older version will be supported by 45-W charging, but the unit will have to be purchased additionally.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ are available in four colors: black, white, green and pink. The buyer is offered a choice of two editions: 8/128 and 8/256 GB. Prices have not changed compared to last year’s models – from 849 and 1049 euros, respectively (in Russia +5000 rubles for each, all prices are here ). Pre-order is open today, February 9, and sales will start on March 11.
