Samsung plans to equip flagships with MediaTek chips

April 07, 2022, 07:27

Not even a day has passed since Samsung announced its intention to create its own chipset for Galaxy smartphones, as the South Korean edition of Business Korea reported another large-scale brand decision. Samsung Electronics is reportedly considering using MediaTek chipsets in flagships in the second half of 2022. In particular, we are talking not only about the “fan” Galaxy S22 FE, whose family has always been a combination of compromises, but also the flagship Galaxy S23 models. The market for MediaTek versions is planned to be Asian countries. By the way, Samsung used MediaTek solutions before, but these were exclusively budget devices – this has never happened in premium smartphones. In addition, rumors about a Samsung sub-flagship with the Dimensity 9000 chipset have already appeared recently.
