One of the signature features of Samsung smartphones is gaming services, which, unlike similar solutions from other vendors, do not increase the performance of smartphones in the game, but reduce it. This problem is especially noticeable on the flagship Galaxy S22 series – as we noted in the video review, game services make even the Ultra model unsuitable for demanding games, despite good hardware. But according to Twitter user @GaryeonHan, that is about to change.
As follows from the text, which, according to the source, was distributed by the Korean office of Samsung, in the near future, the “performance priority” option will appear in gaming services as a counterbalance to the “temperature priority” that is currently working by default. When this option is activated, it will most likely turn off (at least partially) the algorithms that reduce the performance of the phone. At the same time, this option does not seem to disable Frame Booster, which also contributes significantly to the deterioration of the gaming experience on the flagship Samsung Galaxy.
