Telegram launched a bot for cryptocurrency payments in Bitcoin and Toncoin directly in the messenger

The popular messenger Telegram has launched support for payments via Toncoin. To access cryptocurrencies, you need to register in the official @Wallet bot. This will allow you to buy tokens with bank cards, exchange and transfer to other crypto wallets. You can send bitcoin (BTC) or toncoin ( TON ) to other users by clicking on the “Wallet” icon in private messages.

Glory to Ukraine!

The decentralized service TON was created by Telegram in 2017 for instant payments, but Pavel Durov abandoned it in May 2020 after a long battle with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

The regulator alleged that the company was selling unregistered securities through an initial coin offering. The court also banned the Grams token from use by investors outside the US.

To launch TON, the company attracted more than $1.7 billion in investments , but after the second delay in the launch, investors were offered to either return 77% of the money invested, or arrange investments as a loan at a high interest rate.
