While everyone is discussing the design, price and dry technical content of the Galaxy S22 trio, PBKReviews unexpectedly rolled out a video with tests of the Galaxy S22, S22 + and S22 Ultra in benchmarks. The test was carried out in AnTuTu, Geekbench 5 and 3DMark, the temperature was checked along the way, and at the very end attention was paid to the battery (looking ahead, the Galaxy S22 + turned out to be the winner in terms of autonomy). You can see all the numbers in the video, but we will turn your attention to the throttling test, which showed very mixed results. All the devices presented in the video are built on Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which means that we have something to compare with, because we already had three such gadgets on the test (Motorola Edge X30, Xiaomi 12/12 Pro and OnePlus 10 Pro).
The peak value of all Galaxy S22 in terms of GPU is inferior to all three “Chinese”, and at the bottom point only Xiaomi 12 is worse. Of course, the author makes allowances for non-final software, but it is very difficult to assess its impact right now. Unfortunately, the situation with the Exynos 2200, which will be available in versions for Russia, is still generally unknown. We look forward to our copy of the Galaxy S22 Ultra to test in these very tests and in real applications. The release of the Galaxy S22 in Russia will take place on March 11.
