We may only be in March, but searches on Google for self-tanning have already increased by 90 per cent in the past month. But if there’s one beauty product category that has a bad reputation, it is fake tan. The two words alone conjure up the image of streaky skin and Oompa-Loompa orange; that’s before you’ve even thought about the naff smell.
There is another way. The 2022 tan is more natural-looking and youth-enhancing than ever before, and it doesn’t require a whole can of mousse and laying towels down on your bedspread. Now, you can look like you’ve spent two weeks in the Med in little more than a few hours at home, following some expert advice.
