A doctor working in Mazyr, which is 150 miles from Kyiv, also said that he was regularly having to start work at 5am to treat the injured.
“There are a lot of deaths. Limbs are being cut off and there are a lot of shrapnel wounds,” he said. “All these are mostly very young guys born in 1998-2002.”
Hospitals and morgues overwhelmed
Vladimir Putin used Belarus to launch his main attacking force towards the Ukrainian capital on February 24 and since then Belarusian hospitals have been used to treat injured Russian soldiers. Western media outlets have now reported that so many casualties have been sent back that hospitals and morgues have been overwhelmed.
“The number of bodies was unbelievably large. People at the Mazyr station were simply shocked by the number of bodies being put on the train,” an unnamed resident of Mazyr told Radio Free Europe.
