Over the past couple of months, hundreds of global brands have left or stopped serving Russia. In response, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has prepared a list of goods for which parallel imports, also known as “gray imports”, will be allowed. It will allow importing goods into the country without the permission of the copyright holder, the sale of which takes place in other countries of the world. Thus, the list includes 50 product groups and about 200 brands, including smartphones and appliances from Apple, Asus, HP, Huawei, Panasonic, Samsung, Nokia, Intel, Microsoft, Sony, household appliances from Electrolux, Miele, Siemens, Dyson, etc. , and even Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo game consoles.
The document also includes an extensive list of cars: Tesla, Land Rover, Volvo, Skoda, Toyota, Nissan, Jeep, Jaguar, Chrysler, Bently, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Dodge, Hummer, Rover, GMC, as well as components and spare parts for them. Industrial equipment is also mentioned (mining, electric power industry, railway and shipping transport, agriculture, timber processing, and others).
